Diagnosing the Effect of Misalignment on a Rotating System using Simulation and Experimental Study

Misalignment is one of the common causes machine vibration. Understanding and practicing fundamentals rotating shaft parameters first step in reducing unnecessary vibration, maintenance costs, increasing uptime. In industrial setting, misaligned machines account for 50% all downtime. The most frequent issue with machinery that affects every industry rotor misalignment. Consequently, misalignment defects can be qualitatively identified using condition monitoring based on vibration measurements. present study employs measurement method by Building a model contains suggested then it advanced simulation programs such as Ansys. Validation results comparing them experimental methods show both numerical data are good match regarding amplitude frequency. verification proved frequencies were extracted finite element techniques (simulation reading) agree (experimental (100%).
